The Scholarship Dinner was wonderful! Thank you to everyone who attended and gave so generously to our Gift of Education  which allows so many students to attend Roycemore, through our Sliding Scale tuition program, who otherwise couldn't!

YEA, THE YOUNG EVANSTON ART FESTIVAL

Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10am-4pm.
Raymond Park at Lake and Chicago Aves.

The Young Evanston Artist Festival is an art show that highlights student art. This year, every Roycemore K-4th Grader has art displayed at YEA. Lower School students worked on collaborative murals, which will be shown along with their 3-D works. Below you will find class meet-up times, but students are welcome to come at any time between 10am-4pm. (Mrs. O’Donnell will be at our booth for class meet-up times, and Roycemore Parent volunteers will be there in the morning.)
Class Meet-Up Times:
12:30-1:00  Kindergarten
1:00-1:30     1st Grade
1:30-2:00     2nd Grade
2:00-2:30    3rd Grade
2:30-3:00    4th Grade


SPRING DANCE/TUMBLING SHOW Thursday, May 25 at 7:00 PM.  It is always a wonderful night in the Roycemore Gym.  I know you will all enjoy it.

The offerings are wonderful!  This is a program that all the kids love. Some of the classes are closed, and others close to full, so sign-up soon. 


CULMINATION/SHOWCASE NIGHT Monday, June 5:00-6:00 for Kindergarten through Grade 4.  This is the night where your children will show you their final projects and work so you can see how much they have grown this year.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN AND JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN BREAKFASTS Tuesday June 6 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Please make sure to come to these events and to see the progress your children have made this year.  I know you will be impressed.

END OF THE YEAR OUTING: SUNSET PARK, HIGHLAND PARK Wednesday, June 7 10:00-2:30 Everyone send good thoughts for good weather!

PICTURES THIS WEEK:

1.  Roycemore opens at 7:30 AM.  All Lower School students go to our Morning Room where they partake in activities until school begins.

2. Recess was exceptionally fun this week with the nice weather.  The baseball game was a highlight!   

        
3.  The Junior Kindergarteners enjoyed a game day! Games provide a lot of learning in an enjoyable way.


AFTER-SCHOOENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
Each week I will list all the activities that we offer, but do know that sometimes, some of them will not go.  Please check them to see which ones are going that week.

Lego Club will meet Monday, May 15 in the First Grade Classroom from 3:15-4:00.
Engineering will meet Monday, May 15 in the 4th Grade Classroom G12 from 3:15-4:00.
Mandarin will meet Monday, May 15 in the Third Grade Classroom from 3:15-4:00.
Martial Arts will meet Tuesday, May 16 in the Multi Purpose Room from 3:15-4:00.
Sprout will meet Tuesday May 16 in the LS Art Room 118 from 3:15-5:15.
Creative Improv will meet Wednesday, May 17 in the Lower School Music Room from 3:15-4:00.
Cross Country will meet Wednesday, May 17 in the MPR from 3:15-4:00.
Sprout will meet Wednesday May 17 in the LS Art Room 118 from 3:15-5:15.
Chess Club will  meet Thursday, May 18 in the 1st Grade and 4th Grade Rooms from 3:00-3:50. 
Sprout will meet Thursday, May 18 in the LS Art Room 118 from 3:15-5:15.
Fitness Fun Friday will meet Friday, May 19 in the Gym from 3:15-4:00.

A REMINDER: Please remember that Roycemore Lower School is a nut/peanut-free environment.  Please remember this when you send in birthday treats and snacks for your children.  There are many other allergies, specific to individual children, so please check with your classroom teacher before sending in treats.  Thank you in advance for caring about all of our children.
